Human Face Recognition


OBJECTIVES:

This software recognizes the identity of persons that have been previously registered on a face database. The face recognition function is supported by the images that are generated by the following 4 robots:

  1. Software Robot Motion: Motion Detector.
  2. Software Robot Guardian: Unattended Object Detector and Missing Object Detector.
  3. Software Robot Kao: Human Faces Detector.
  4. Software Robot Sound: Sound Detector.

The principal goal of the last 4 robots is to collect images, so that, they can afterwards be used by this software to recognize faces.

When a face is recognized, a complete report is elaborated showing the most similar faces found at the database and their corresponding scores.

Users are able to recognize faces using any of the following options:

  1. Recognize faces online using camera No. 1. This option is ideal for police stations, when one person is located just in front of camera No. 1 to find his identification.
  2. Recognize faces using one or all images that are produced by this software.
  3. Recognize faces using one of the images that exist on his computer.
  4. Recognize faces using the continuous face recognition function.

CHARACTERISTICS GiVEN BY THE FACE RECOGNITION:

Users are able to:

  1. Obtain the same characteristics given by the software Robot Motion, Robot Guardian, Robot Kao and Robot Sound.
  2. Use this software without video cards.
  3. Connect up to 4 cameras.
  4. Define areas where recognitions will be done.
  5. Receive alert emails after a face recognition.
  6. Control this software by using emails.
  7. Receive periodic emails with images from your cameras.
  8. Broadcast live video from your cameras through Internet using NETWORK STREAMING, so that, users will be able to watch it using a PC or a cellular-phone from any place in the world.
  9. Broadcast live video from your cameras through Internet using PUBLISHING POINTS, so that, users will be able to watch it using a PC or a cellular phone from any place in the world.
  10. Take pictures and record video/audio files periodically.
  11. Store and maintain a complete history of images and video files.
  12. Maintain the log of events for all cameras.
  13. Configure the video quality for your cameras.
  14. Configure the video quality of the live streaming for all cameras.
  15. Record video/audio files continuously from all cameras.
  16. Upload images and video files to a FTP server.
  17. Hide this software, so that, nobody can see it while it's working.

ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN AFTER A DETECTION:

This software will:

  1. Show the most similar faces of every detected face and their corresponding identification.
  2. Generate a written report of every detected face showing the most similar faces existing on the face database.
  3. Alert users by email sending 3 pictures of intruders.
  4. Broadcast live video through Internet.
  5. Record video files.
  6. Take pictures.
  7. Send video files and pictures to a FTP server.
  8. Produce several sounds to scare the intruders. For example:
    • Several dogs barking at the same time.
    • Police sirens.
    • Persons screaming.
    • Several other type of alarm sounds.

COMMANDS THAT CAN BE SENT BY EMAIL TO THIS SOFTWARE:

  1. Send one email to the users having images of any camera.
  2. Record video/audio files using any camera.
  3. Schedule the video/audio file recordings using any camera.
  4. Change the zoom value of any camera.
  5. Broadcast live video using any camera through Internet using network streaming.
  6. Broadcast live video using any camera through Internet using publishing points.
  7. Activate or deactivate the face detection function.

NOTE:

  1. In order to obtain the best recognition results, rotation of faces for registration and for recognition, must be: (left) -30..+30 (right) degrees, and (up) -20..+20 (down) degrees.

  8. GigE cameras: with a DirectShow driver, e.g. Point Grey cameras, etc.
  9. HD camcorders: through firewire or USB, e.g. Canon HV30, etc.
